40 Rue des Je\u00fbneurs: fa\u00e7ade engineering in a refurbishment shaped by light and hanging gardens<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

FACAL \u2013 Fa\u00e7ade Engineering<\/a> is contributing to the refurbishment of 40 Rue des Je\u00fbneurs<\/a>, a property complex located in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, designed to accommodate educational and office spaces. The intervention is transforming the existing buildings to meet today\u2019s requirements for comfort, performance and sustainability, while strengthening their relationship with the surrounding Parisian urban fabric. The project is currently under construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With architecture and landscape design by Ateliers 2\/3\/4\/<\/a>, the project involves the reorganisation and connection of two buildings: one facing Rue des Je\u00fbneurs and another located within the urban block. In this context, FACAL brings its expertise in fa\u00e7ade engineering, technical precision and quality of execution to a highly demanding project in the heart of Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transformation, however, goes far beyond the refurbishment of the existing buildings. The project redesigns the entrances and outdoor areas, creating a new landscaped courtyard, an entrance pavilion and a sequence of stepped terraces conceived as hanging gardens. At the same time, new visual openings and a stronger presence of vegetation are designed to increase natural daylight, improve the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces and enhance the quality of the shared areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, sustainability plays an important role in the project. The reduction of areas dedicated to cars, the creation of bicycle facilities and the significant increase in vegetation form part of a strategy aimed at making the building more sustainable. The project has also achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating at design stage, reinforcing the environmental ambition of this transformation in central Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this way, 40 Rue des Je\u00fbneurs reflects a contemporary approach to urban refurbishment, where architecture, fa\u00e7ade engineering, natural light and landscape come together to give new life to an existing building.
